System Requirements

WebSuite was designed to operate on the Microsoft Windows platform. It requires one of the following versions of the Windows operating system: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, or Windows NT.

WebSuite requires at least 4MB of RAM and 1 MB of free disk space as well as access to the Internet. The Internet access can be provided either through a dialup modem, cable modem, DSL line, T-1, LAN, or any other method recognized by a browser.

Ideally, your Internet connection will include a dedicated IP address that can then be published as your server address and used to establish domain names registered to that address. Dynamic addresses, however, can also be used by WebSuite to provide server functionality and peer-to-peer communications.

WebSuite also requires an available TCP/IP port to use as its primary communications channel. Typically, and by default, this is port 80. Virtually all browsers utilize port 80 as their default "web" port. It is possible to use other port addresses for your server configuration thought not recommended unless this is to be a private communications network or if used in conjunction with an existing web server on the same machine.
